Andrew Brown – Managing Director
Andrew’s background is in Software Engineering, with a specific focus on Quality Management System implementation. He has 15 years’ experience delivering mission-critical software solutions to businesses in Construction, Energy, and Oil and Gas. In 2012, the initial version of PAS 2030 was released and Andrew wrote one of the first QMS platforms to implement it. He has since grown this into Trade Engine’s QMS and Retrofit Solutions businesses.
Andrew is the CEO of Trade Engine’s parent company – Retrofit Solutions Group (RSG). The primary focus of his work is to contribute to the delivery of the UK’s energy and climate change objectives (for example, ensuring that all domestic dwellings rate in EPC ‘band C’ or above by the year 2035), and ensuring these are achieved in a manageable and transparent fashion. This includes oversight of Trade Engine’s work under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO3), to assist householders who are in fuel-poverty.
Pamela Brown – Finance Director
Pamela’s background is in Facilities Management. She previously worked for one of the UK’s largest Local Authorities, where she was responsible for the management of a number of events facilities and infrastructure. Pam now oversees Trade Engine’s procurement operations and operates our purchase-to-payment process. Her work ensures that all supplier payments are correctly apportioned and that every project the company instructs, or processes, is paid for at the correct time.
Paul Parr – Compliance Manager and PAS 2030 Instructor
Paul’s initial experience of environmental compliance was within his family firm, which manufactured water treatment equipment. Standardisation and compliance was one of his many responsibilities in this role. After he sold the business, Paul worked as a freelance photographer within the music industry for a number of years, before deciding to investigate opportunities in the Energy Efficiency sector. Paul joined us in 2016 and leads our ECO compliance activities. He has trained in excess of 900 firms on our QMS platform.
Simon Parsons – Quality Manager and PAS 2035 Retrofit Coordinator
Simon’s career started in the RAF, where he was a Field Services Engineer. After completing his forces role, Simon worked as an Installer and then Depot Manager for a large installation company. He then became a PAS 2030 Auditor at Stroma Certification, often auditing firms which had implemented Trade Engine’s QMS platform, before joining Trade Engine in 2019. Simon is a qualified ISO 9001 and 14001 Lead Auditor, as well as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), Retrofit Assessor (RA) and Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator (RC). Simon manages our Retrofit Coordination and Installer Framework activities.
Shani Bernadine – Customer Services Administrator
Shani is responsible for ensuring that our Retrofit Project Management work runs smoothly. This includes liaising with members of our Installer Framework, helping them to arrange and prioritise their delivery. She also ensures that the clients of our projects are fully-satisfied and that documentation and evidence is lodged correctly with the relevant parties, including into the TrustMark Data Warehouse.
